Sleep apnea is a chronic disorder that leads to increased drowsiness, which is associated with accidents, and has been associated with the development of cardiovascular and metabolic disorders as well as depression.
The reference test is the polynomial and the treatment of choice is the application of a pressure device, while in some cases mild onset of the syndrome is followed by conservative treatment. The EuSleep project is expected to lead to the evaluation of undiagnosed individuals with pre-symptomatic control in the general population and the development of an algorithm using biomarkers for diagnostic purposes. In addition, it aims to better align patients with treatment by providing counseling services and in general to improve the quality of life of patients by providing sleep apnea treatment services remotely.
